This is a typical flow for a 5D/4N Manu expedition. Exact lodges/stop points depend on availability, group preferences, and season.

  • Day 1: Cusco → Paucartambo → cloud forest. Scenic drive with birding stops, viewpoints, and short walks. Night at a lodge.
  • Day 2: Cloud forest morning activity (birdwatching; hummingbirds, tanagers). Continue into the lowland rainforest and transfer by boat to lodge.
  • Day 3: Early walk + river exploration. Optional oxbow lake visit (wildlife observation) and interpretive forest walk.
  • Day 4: Dawn clay lick visit (where possible) to observe parrots/macaws. Afternoon free time or additional trails; night walk to spot insects, amphibians, and nocturnal wildlife.
  • Day 5: Return by boat and road back to Cusco. Arrival time varies with conditions and group pace.

Wildlife sightings aren’t guaranteed, but our local guides maximize opportunities with timing and habitat knowledge.
